Kristen and Gary had a Sunday routine—brunch, then grocery shopping. But one Sunday, as they were about to check out, Gary received a call from his friends. He quickly excused himself to join them for beers and a game, leaving Kristen to pay the $650 bill and find her own way home. Hurt and frustrated, Kristen decided to teach him a lesson.
At home, she cooked a lavish meal, posted about it on social media, and sent Gary a photo of her dinner, saying, “Wish you were here!” When he came home later, hoping for leftovers, Kristen calmly explained how his actions made her feel second to his friends. Gary apologized, realizing he had prioritized his friends over her.
Their conversation reminded Kristen that they needed balance in their lives, and Gary promised to get his priorities straight. That night, Kristen made him buttered toast and tea, a small but meaningful gesture of change.
