The first episode of Roseanne surpasses the entire viewership of “The Conners” throughout the last season.

Critics of Roseanne Barr dismiss her as a “has-been,” believing she is no longer relevant. Despite her standup routine earning a Tony nomination, they continued to tarnish her reputation. However, with the release of the first episode of her new show, it’s evident that she has captured the nation’s attention.

The ratings reveal that the first episode garnered more views on X than “The Conners” did throughout the entire last season. Roseanne’s spokesperson, Joe Barron, expressed confidence in the show’s success, stating, “This is Roseanne; America loves Roseanne.”

The official viewership number is remarkably high, surpassing 114 million views on X, just narrowly outdoing the Andrew Tate interview. Some pointed out that the number doesn’t equate to actual views, as X registers hits every time the video appears in the scroll ticker. Twitter Statistics Manager Tara Newhole explained, “The show itself was watched by nearly the entire population of Lanford, Illinois.”

Regardless, it remains an impressive achievement, showcasing Roseanne’s unique ability to draw a substantial audience.
