Gary Sinise is well-acquainted with the workings of Hollywood, even though he’s known for his decency and work with disabled veterans. Despite his positive contributions, he has had significant exposure to some of the less reputable figures in the entertainment industry. Among those figures, the one he least enjoyed working with is Tom Hanks.
In an exclusive interview with ALLOD Correspondent Tara Newhole, Sinise expressed his discomfort around Hanks, stating, “He made my skin crawl, and there’s just something off about him.” When pressed for details by Newhole, Sinise declined, citing concerns about potential repercussions and stating he didn’t want to be “Clintoned.”
While Sinise appreciates his involvement in the acclaimed movie Forrest Gump, he wishes someone else had played the lead role, suggesting that Ben Stiller would have been a suitable alternative due to his skill in portraying certain characters.
Despite his strong dislike for Hanks, Sinise found himself working with him two more times, notably during Apollo 13 and The Green Mile. Sinise felt relatively at ease during Apollo 13 due to the zero-gravity environment limiting Hanks’ movement. However, he noted a challenging dynamic between Hanks and Michael Clark Duncan in The Green Mile.
Research into the reasons behind the negative sentiments towards Tom Hanks from individuals on the political right revealed a connection to unverified accusations linking Hanks to a cult’s alleged list of pedophiles. It’s crucial to note that there is no evidence supporting these accusations, and they are merely baseless claims circulated among certain groups.
