LOS ANGELES, CA—Rachel Brosnahan will star in and executive produce Season 2 of Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent, diving into a fresh murder mystery. The Rachel-Brosnahan-Presumed-Innocent-Season-2 announcement marks her first major TV role since The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Season 1, adapted from Scott Turow’s novel, featured Jake Gyllenhaal as a prosecutor accused of murder. The anthology’s second season, based on Jo Murray’s 2026 novel Dissection of a Murder, casts Brosnahan as Leila Reynolds, a lawyer tackling a high-profile judge’s murder case. “It’s beyond her expertise, but the defendant insists on her,” per Pan Macmillan.
