SPRINGFIELD, IL — After more than a decade of faithful service, 81-year-old John Alford is parting ways with his beloved 2006 Chrysler Sebring. The silver sedan, which has clocked 120,000 miles, is now available for local pickup at a modest price of $2,900.
For Mr. Alford, the Sebring wasn’t just a vehicle — it was a companion. From quiet Sunday drives to grocery store trips and doctor visits, this car was with him through it all.
“This car has never let me down,” said Alford. “I kept it clean, changed the oil, and treated it like family.”
The 2006 Chrysler Sebring, known for its smooth ride and reliability, still runs well and has been regularly maintained. With leather seats, cold A/C, and a surprisingly smooth suspension, it’s ideal for someone in need of dependable local transportation.
Alford, who recently stopped driving for health reasons, hopes to pass it on to someone who’ll appreciate it. “It’s got a lot of life left in it. I just want it to go to a good home,” he added.
Interested buyers must arrange local pickup, and Mr. Alford insists on meeting in person for the handoff. “No shipping, no scams,” he said. “If you want it, you gotta come get it.”
