Harvey Weinstein Regrets Not Using ‘Social Anxiety’ Defense Like Pedro Pascal

LOS ANGELES, CA — Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein reportedly expressed regret that he never thought to excuse his past behavior by claiming he had social anxiety—something he believes could’ve spared him from legal consequences.

“Pedro Pascal just says he’s got anxiety and suddenly cuddling actresses is fine,” Weinstein was heard saying. “Why didn’t I try that? I’d be on red carpets instead of behind bars. These days, everyone loves a mental health narrative.”

The comment came after reports highlighting Pedro Pascal’s frequent physical affection—such as hand-holding and hugging female co-stars—allegedly to help manage his anxiety during public events. The behavior has sparked mixed reactions but has largely been received with praise.

Some Hollywood figures, including Kevin Spacey, joked they might adopt the same explanation. “Oh, I have that too,” Spacey quipped. “That’s why I’m always so… hands-on. You know, anxiety.”

Female celebrities have responded with varying opinions. “Pedro makes it look sweet,” said one actress anonymously. “But it’s definitely not the same when someone like Jack Black does it.”

At press time, Weinstein was reportedly seen at a coffee shop pretending to suffer from an anxiety-induced heart episode in hopes of getting CPR from the barista.
