Music icon Noel Gallagher has surprised fans by revealing he genuinely does want to know how your garden grows, despite decades of insisting otherwise.
“Gardens are brilliant, aren’t they?” said Gallagher in a recent interview. “I’ve really gotten into horticulture lately. Soil, plants, compost—I’m all about it. So yeah, I want to know about my garden, your garden, everyone’s gardens. It’s all fascinating.”
This confession shocked longtime Oasis fans who remember the famous opening line of the 1994 hit “Live Forever,” where Gallagher claimed, “Maybe, I don’t really want to know how your garden grows.”
Rebecca Coleman, a devoted Oasis fan, expressed her disappointment: “I can’t believe it! For years, he said he didn’t care about gardens. Now he’s suddenly obsessed with flower beds and fertilizer? I feel completely betrayed.”
Coleman added, “It was so clear in the lyrics—he didn’t want to know! Now he flips the narrative and wants to discuss soil health and flower arrangements? I’m glad I didn’t get tickets to that reunion concert. Honestly, I think I prefer Ocean Colour Scene now.”
Trying to ease fans’ frustration, Gallagher explained, “When I was younger, I thought not caring about gardens made me look cool and mysterious. But looking back, I realize I was wrong. Gardening is fantastic, and I actually regret saying those words. We all say dumb stuff when we’re young.”
He continued, “Now, I’m seriously considering enrolling in a horticulture course at the Met. I want to understand how every garden grows, not just mine. Plants are amazing. Sorted!”
Gallagher’s revelation has sparked both amusement and disappointment among fans, showing that even rock legends can change their tune when it comes to green thumbs.
