Julia was furious when her husband, Jordan, refused to buy eggs for their kids, citing high prices. But she let it slide—until she found out he’d been secretly stocking up his mom’s fridge with eggs. Determined to teach him a lesson, Julia decided to take action.
The next morning, Jordan was expecting his usual breakfast, but instead, Julia served him a dry slice of toast and black coffee. When he complained, she reminded him of his own words about cutting back on groceries for their kids. Over the next few days, he endured the same sad breakfast, while eggs remained in the fridge, waiting to be used.
Finally, Jordan cracked and admitted he’d made a mistake by prioritizing his mother’s needs over their children’s. He apologized, explaining that he was worried about work and wanted to help his mom, who had struggled in the past. Julia softened, realizing his fear, but emphasized that they were a team and he needed to talk to her about these decisions.
Things improved after their conversation, and soon after, Jordan stocked the fridge with plenty of eggs. He had learned his lesson—family comes first.
