WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Thomas Massie has recently introduced a new proposal titled the “Small, Ugly Budget Bill with a Great Personality” as a direct alternative to President Donald Trump’s highly publicized “Big Beautiful Bill.”
Massie described his bill as a more fiscally responsible and conservative approach, aiming to counteract the large-scale spending proposed by the president.
“This bill might not be flashy or grab headlines, but it is practical and dependable,” Massie explained. “While the president’s bill attracts a lot of attention in Congress, I believe it’s more important to focus on substance rather than appearance. My bill offers a sensible approach to budgeting and will responsibly manage taxpayer money without overspending.”
President Trump quickly dismissed Massie’s proposal, criticizing both its appearance and its creator. “No one wants an unattractive bill,” Trump stated. “Massie doesn’t understand how to draft a bill properly. My bill is impressive and admired by everyone. It’s the top choice—like a supermodel among budget proposals. His bill wouldn’t even get noticed, and frankly, it needs a complete overhaul.”
Despite the criticism, Massie continued to promote his bill, highlighting its practical benefits, strong fiscal responsibility, and focus on long-term stability for American families and future generations.
